John W. Gillespie III, MD

Dr. Gillespie was born in Newark, DE, and raised in Hockessin, DE. He is married with two beautiful daughters.

He attended Salesianum High School and the University of Delaware, where he received his B.A. in Biological Sciences.

Dr. Gillespie is a Delaware native.  He was raised in Hockessin, DE and attended Salesianum High School.  He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. During his prestigious general surgery training at Christiana Hospital, he decided to further his training and become a plastic surgeon. Dr. Gillespie was selected for a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the renowned Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, becoming a Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.Since his training, he has become a leader in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Gillespie has a background in a vast array of aesthetic procedures, including facelifts, neck lifts, breast augmentation, mommy makeovers, and liposuction. He prides himself on his post-bariatric body contouring procedures such as breast lifts/reductions, tummy tucks, whole body lifts, and arm and thigh lifts. 

He is also the leading plastic surgeon in the Delaware area offering the “Brazilian Butt Lift.” Dr. Gillespie is also one of the few plastic surgeons in the entire United States offering treatment for a rare but real illness referred to as “Breast Implant Illness Syndrome.” Dr. Gillespie lives in Wilmington with his wife and two daughters.  You can often find him golfing in his free time.
